I’m all over the place these days. I have a really short attention span so therefore one minute I can be deep into work and the next thing you know I’m cleaning, or reading, or catching a stupid show on tv. I’ve a couple book reviews to blog about, I keep buying books on my Kindle too, along with going to the library once (sometimes twice) a week.

I have the urge to pick up my crocheting and start cleaning drawers. I recently joined an online yoga service, I can get workouts, guided meditations etc.. I bought a juicer and am exploring the world of juicing, I’ve tried several combinations but my favorite seems to be to large carrots, 1 apple and some ginger. Very energizing. I still don’t eat enough fruit…I think. I love vegetables. I went to bed feeling guilty because I was still full from dinner when I realized I had grilled vegetables for dinner and a small amount of fettuccine Alfredo, no guilt now-being full from vegetables is a good thing.

See I told you it was ramblings. Just wanted to show you my mind and how it operates, weee it’s a fun ride and I actually like it except when I don’t get something done when I should. Really need to start making to do lists, here I go again. I better go do something, I’m getting bored pouring out sentences.  Have a wonderful day!

Never Stop Learning

How many times have you seen something someone has done and said “I’ve always wanted to do that”. What’s stopping you? Whether is learning to cook a souffle or building a bird house, why not?

I’m constantly wanting to learn things, sometimes to the point of distraction. I tend to over do, I think I have an addictive personality, I become obsessed with ideas and when I decide I want to do something I want to do it NOW. I’ve tried baking bread, crochet, dehydrating, Bob Ross painting, yoga, tai chi, and many many more. Some have stuck crochet, yoga, dehydrating. I’m sure there will be more.

My point is you have to keep learning and trying new things, it keeps your brain active and engaged, it introduces you to new things, people, places and techniques. I truly beleive it keeps you young, in mind at least. I often hear not just older people but younger too saying “I just can’t do that” “My brain just doesn’t work that way” I want to scream-the only thing stopping someone is themselves.

Be brave, be bold, be cool and go learn something new that you always wanted to do.
